Week 44: Blues Dancing, Kartchner Caverns, and Tombstone (Feb 2-8, 2014)

Kartchner Caverns

Kartchner Caverns

Near Tucson are the Kartchner Caverns. We are in awe, walking among the ancient stalactites and stalagmites. To protect these caverns for future generations, the explorers who discovered these caverns quickly took action to protect the pristine caverns. Fourteen years of secrecy passed while creating a State Park encompassing the caverns. Thank you for protecting this treasure for all to enjoy.

Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is one of the largest in the country. The show spreads throughout the entire city, and we view many of the displays of fossils, geodes, and turquoise.

Joe flies in from Colorado to celebrate Bev’s birthday. He takes us “Blues Dancing” at a local hangout for college students. Blues Dancing is slow and sensual, and we sure have fun! Great young man. Very proud of him.
