Convoy San Francisco to Miami… or… Hike Yosemite National Park (June 14 – July 8, 2015)

Convoy almost ready to go…

Our adventure continues to have new twists. While helping cousins Tom and Jennifer pack to move from San Francisco to Miami, everyone realized they could use another driver. Sherry raised her hand (oops), and next thing we know she is driving in the convoy of trucks and trailers 3,000 miles across country. The convoy wasn’t without incident:

Overheating brakes, flat tire, 4 wheel drive problem, moving everything from one rental truck to a replacement rental truck when the transmission broke, bone-shaking rough roads, construction delays, re-routes, plugged hotel toilets, and more. After 7 days driving, they arrived safely, ready to sleep, eat, drink, and be merry. Sherry is having a great time in southern Florida drinking tequila and rye with

more of her cousins, and plans to fly back to Sacramento on Saturday to join Bob.

Meanwhile, What about Bob? He has been hiking in beautiful mountains and forests of Yosemite National Park all this time. Poor Bob (grin).
